North Carolina Licensed Home Inspectors must attain Continuing Education (CE) annually by September 10, except for those licensed after June 1st through September 30th of the current license period. Four of these NC Home Inspector CE hours must be the Mandatory NCHILB Update Course. The online courses listed below are all approved by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board. CLASSROOM COURSE DATES

How do these courses work?
To complete our classroom courses, you just need to follow these simple steps:

Purchase the course that you would like to attend.
Check your email for your receipt and confirmation of your enrollment in the classroom course. This email will confirm the course date, time, and location.
Attend the classroom course and receive your certificate of completion.

I do not need the full 12 hours of continuing education credit. What are my options?
Please contact our customer service team to help you determine the correct courses you will need to take.

Do you report my continuing education hours to the NCHILB?
Yes. Our customer service team at ICA School will report your completed continuing education hours to the North Carolina Home Inspection Licensing Board.

You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each course that you should maintain for your records.

How do I renew my home inspector’s license?
All home inspector licenses expire on September 30 of each year. Licenses can be renewed by filing an application for renewal
with the Board (found on the HILB License Renewal page) and paying the required renewal fee ($160). The Board must renew the license of a person who files an application for renewal, pays the required renewal fee, has fulfilled the continuing education requirements set by the Board, and is not in violation of this Article when the application is filed.

What is your refund policy?
If you are not happy prior to completing the course, for whatever reason, you will receive a 100% refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked.
