North Carolina requires 12 hours of continuing education every year to renew your home inspector license. 4 of these hours must be the Mandatory NCHILB Update Course. The Mandatory Update Course must be attended as a live class or live webinar. NC Licensed Home Inspectors must attain Continuing Education (CE) annually by September 10, except for those licensed after June 1st through September 30th of the current license period.\u00a0 The online courses listed below are all approved by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board<\/a>.<\/p>

      All home inspector licenses expire on September 30 of each year. Licenses can be renewed by filing an application for renewal with the Board (found on the HILB Engineering & Codes<\/a> page) and paying the required renewal fee ($160).
