A home inspector’s salary is tied to how many inspections they perform. Home inspectors who perform three inspections a week will gross approximately $1,200 per week ($62,400 per year) and those doing ten inspections a week will gross $4,000 per week ($208,000 per year).
With a few exceptions, each state has its own set of requirements for becoming a home inspector. Some states don’t require home inspectors to be licensed. The first step is to determine what training is required for the state you live or plan to work in.

Once you complete your training and you pass your exams, your home inspection career begins! You can start your own business or work for an existing company.
