Course Details
Our Environmental Hazards course is an online training course we have developed to prepare home inspectors to be prepared to inspect any type of home.
MOLD. The fear of mold discovery is what makes a certified mold inspector certification so attractive to clients. While more common in older homes with poor ventilation, mold can become a problem in virtually any house or commercial property. Our mold inspection section will teach you the strategies and techniques you need to provide as thorough an inspection as possible for your clients.
RADON. The U.S. Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, making this more than just a threat to a property’s safety – it’s a threat to the lives of homeowners everywhere. This course helps home inspectors brush up on their knowledge of the gas and prepare them to spot it in the field.
ASBESTOS. Home inspectors who complete this course will learn how to identify asbestos during a home inspection and also the details surrounding asbestos mitigation procedures, along with what to do if you suspect the presence of asbestos during a home inspection.
LEAD PAINT. From time to time, home inspection clients will ask questions about the possibility of lead paint during a home inspection, and as a home inspector you will want to be able to provide answers to those questions. This section of our course will teach home inspectors the health, safety, and welfare issues surrounding lead paint.
WDOs (Wood Destroying Organisms). Finally, one of the primary goals of home inspectors is checking for damage done by critters unseen by the naked eye. Wood destroying organisms, also known as WDOs, can wreak havoc on homes and businesses.
This 4 CE hour Environmental Hazards course can give you the advantage you need.
