The leading online and in-person training program now offers evening options for home inspection pre-licensing education in New York.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, November 15, 2023 — ICA, a division of Edcetera, is pleased to announce the expansion of its New York home inspector training program to include live webinar night classes, catering specifically to the needs of working adults. This development is in addition to online and in-person daytime classes, providing even more flexible options for aspiring professionals in New York.
The New York home inspector course, approved by the New York Department of State, Division of Licensing Services, offers comprehensive training for individuals seeking to become certified home inspectors. The program is designed to thoroughly prepare students for home inspections, covering all critical aspects of the profession, from evaluating home systems to identifying potential hazards and energy efficiency issues.
Unique to the New York program is the introduction of night classes, which provide the same in-depth education as the daytime courses, but are specifically scheduled to accommodate the busy lives of working adults. The course includes 100 hours of online instruction in the form of four online webinar modules, which rotate on a monthly schedule. It also incorporates forty hours of in-person field training, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience for all students.
“Our expansion into night classes for the New York home inspector course reflects our commitment to making quality education accessible to more people,” said Sara Glassmeyer, Senior Director of Skilled Trades and Professional Occupations at Edcetera. “We understand the challenges of balancing work, life, and education, and we’re excited to offer a solution that fits the schedules of working adults.”
According to ICA, home inspection is a lucrative career path, with many inspectors earning above the national median wage without the need for a college degree or extensive on-the-job training. ICA’s comprehensive program not only prepares students for the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE), but also provides ongoing support and continuing education throughout their careers.
