The Illinois 2022 Home Inspector Renewal deadline is November 30, 2022. Prior to renewing a license, the licensee shall complete the required courses:
If the home inspector was licensed on or before November 30, 2020:
12 hours of CE is required, of which 6 hours must be approved as Mandatory
1-hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Course
If the home inspector was licensed between December 1, 2020 and November 30, 2021:
6 hours of CE is required, of which 3 hours must be approved as Mandatory
1-hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Course
If the home inspector was licensed on or after December 1, 2021:
No CE is required for this renewal

How do these courses work?
Access your CE courses by using the course links in your email receipt.
To resume a saved course, use the same course link in your email receipt that you used to begin the course.
All of our courses are narrated videos. You will watch each of the instructor-led videos and then take a proctored final exam. You will receive instructions on how to take your proctored final exam when you reach the end of your course.
After you pass the final exam, you will be issued your certification of completion and your hours will be reported to the state.
Do you report my hours to the state of Illinois?
Yes. Per the IDFPR’s guidelines, all courses taken will be reported by the 15th of each month for all courses taken the previous month.
What is your refund policy?
If you are not happy prior to completing the course, for whatever reason, you will receive a 100% refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked.
