Looking to earn your British Columbia home inspector certification? British Columbia is one of a few provinces that have formal licensing requirements for home inspectors.
How to Become a Home Inspector in British Columbia:
Step One: Complete 150 Hours of education approved by Consumer Protection BC. ICA is currently not approved to meet this requirement.
Step Two: Pass an exam approved by Consumer Protection BC.
Step Three: Conduct 50 hours of home inspection with an approved trainer. Hours need to be tracked and submitted along with your application.
Step Four: Complete the license application process.
In other Canadian provinces that do not have licensing requirements, real estate agents and your clients will want to see that you have been trained and certified in home inspection. That is where our program can help. ICA even provides you with Lifetime report writing Software for free! ICA students may upgrade to Spectora home inspection software as part of our exclusive partnership – or use Report Form Pro Nitro software, which is included in our home inspection training at no charge. Free one-year access to Edcetera Home Inspection (a $99 value) with ICA’s home inspection course!
