Rhode Island is one of several states that still have not adopted licensing requirements for home inspectors.

Steps to become a home inspector in Rhode Island:

  1. Register for the ICA Real Estate Inspection Certification Program.  This will not only give you all the knowledge you’ll need to perform a home inspection and own/operate your own successful home inspection business, but you’ll also learn all about commercial inspections, as well as mold, radon, and code.  Upon completion of the course you will be an ICA Certified Home Inspector and we will issue you a certification number, which you can use on your business cards and inspection reports.
  2. Start your own business or go to work for an existing company!

In states that have licensing requirements for home inspectors, real estate agents and your clients just want to see that you are licensed. In states like Rhode Island that do not have licensing requirements, real estate agents and your clients will want to see that you have been trained and certified in home inspection. That is where our program can help.
