Per the NYS Department of State Division of Licensing Services, you are eligible to renew your license 90 days prior to your license expiration date. Your license expiration date is printed on the license. Persons engaged in performing home inspections of residential buildings for compensation must hold a valid license.

To complete our webinar courses, follow these simple steps:
- Purchase the courses that you would like to complete.
- Log in to your to the webinar with the link emailed to you. It will be emailed out a few days prior to the start of the class.
- Complete the entire course with your live instructor through the webinar.
- Our staff will email your certificate of completion for your records within two business days of completion.
Once you complete all 24 hours, you can renew with the State of New York and report your completed hours from your certificate.

Renewal forms are mailed approximately 90 days prior to the license expiration date. Complete and submit the renewal form to the address on the form.
If you are eligible to renew your license and you have not received a renewal form, email the Division of Licensing Services and request a form. Your email must include your full name, mailing address, license type, unique identification number and expiration date of your license.
The NYS Department of State Division of Licensing Services Home Inspector board shall approve educational courses and activities that would further the professional competence of licensees. The continuing education credits shall be determined on the basis of one credit for each contact hour of course instruction or professional development activity actually attended by a licensee.
