As of July 1, 2013 Kansas no longer requires a license for home inspectors. It is a very straightforward process to become a home inspector.
How to become a home inspector:
- Register for the ICA Real Estate Inspection Certification Program. This will not only give you all the knowledge you’ll need to perform a home inspection and own/operate your own successful home inspection business, but you’ll also learn all about commercial inspections, as well as mold, radon, and code. Upon completion of the course you will be an ICA Certified Home Inspector and we will issue you a certification number, which you can use on your business cards and inspection reports.
- Start your own business or go to work for an existing company!
We also help you supercharge your career and business with everything you need to be successful. ICA’s membership portal, Edcetera Home Inspection, provides you with ongoing support and training resources throughout your career. New students who enroll in a home inspection training course with ICA receive a one-year membership for free, a $99 value!
ICA students may upgrade to Spectora home inspection software as part of our exclusive partnership – or use Report Form Pro Nitro software, which is included in our home inspection training at no charge.
