You’ll get 2 hours to take a 60-question, multiple-choice test at your local test center, and you’ll find out right there if you pass or fail.

How to Schedule Your FAA Drone Test

  1. Use the map above to find your nearest FAA drone testing center
  2. Follow the steps in this guide to get your FAA Tracking Number (FTN). This will take you no more than 10-15 minutes.
  3. Use your FAA Tracking Number to create an account with PSI. This is the central testing company. You ultimately pay for and schedule your exam date directly through them. The cost will be $175.
