North Carolina Home Inspection Online Continuing Education Courses

North Carolina requires 12 hours of continuing education every year to renew your home inspector license. 4 of these hours must be the Mandatory NCHILB Update Course. The Mandatory Update Course must be attended as a live class or live webinar. NC Licensed Home Inspectors must attain Continuing Education (CE) annually by September 10, except for those licensed after June 1st through September 30th of the current license period.  The online courses listed below are all approved by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board.

Questions? Call one of our Continuing Education Specialists at 888-391-4359.

Please note that the same elective continuing education course may be taken only once for continuing education credit during any three year period. A licensee may carry over up to eight elective credit hours per year until the next year.  It is our goal to offer the training in a format that will work with your schedule.

The Board must renew the license of a person who files an application for renewal, pays the required renewal fee, has fulfilled the continuing education requirements set by the Board, and is not in violation of this Article when the application is filed.
